De Bebés - About Babies

Lately I haven't had many desire of embroidering, I'm sure you have noticed it because of the little activity in this blog. Spring allergies and the unbearable heat affected too much my mood, I hope that everything improves a bit with the summer.
Having no desire to embroider, I searched among my list of tutorials looking for something to sew and I found this baby pinafore tutorial from the blog "Smashed Peas and Carrots" , which I found through Pinterest long time ago. At that time my baby girls nieces were too small to use it, but now that they just celebrated their first year (both were born the same day) it fits perfect. One of them already have hers and now I need to do another one, hope to do it soon as the tutorial is very easy to follow.

Once the pinafore was made, it needed a pair of bloomers to cover the diaper so, I did this one from the tutorial: Heirloom Handkerchief Bloomers from the blog "This Mama Makes Stuff".

The original tuto it's made with already hemmed handkerchiefs, in my case I had to do the hem and this gave me the opportunity to use, for the first time, the special foot of my sewing machine, which makes a hem of 3 mm, it is so fine that I loved the result! :)))

And as I was experimenting with functions and additaments that I haven't used in my sewing machine and, after seeing several tutos about repurposing clothes in good condition, I decided to make some pants with some sweatshirts that I don't use anymore and I felt sorry of throwing them away.

For this pants I used the tuto: Basic Newborn Pant from the blog "Made by Rae". It was also the first time I used the special needles for knit fabric ... I used to think that everything could be sewn with the same needle :D. In this case I ain't have to do the hem, because the bottom of the sweatshirts serve to this intention perfectly.

The blue pants are for my 2 and 21 months nephews, the purple is for the 1 year old baby girl.

That's enough for today. Thank you very much to staying here despite the time that has passed since my last post!!! Hope you're having a great week and hope to see you soon... I know it will be like that because I have a huge list of tutorials about babies... and I have to make them before they grow too much and stop being babies :D

Colorful!!!

That's how these coin purses turn out, full of color & flowers, very much in line with Spring ;)

They are easy to make, they don't require much fabric and are very practical for its size,  plus, you can also hang your keys on the tab ... The only problem is that these flew from my hands and I have to do some more... All my sisters and nieces want one.

I followed the "Circle Zip Earbud Pouch Tutorial", but thanks to this post from Consuelo, you will find the step by step in Spanish here.

Thanks everyone for being here & for your comments! Hope you have a great week!  ♥

At last I can show this chair today I finished several weeks ago! It took me some work and time to do it, I think the cartonnage is not my thing :D

I've made the rose's chair, thanks to the charts and great tutorial from Lia.

I did the embroidery with a pink DMC which I can not remember the number and with a couple of threads that Graciela gave me. She dyed the threads according to this tutorial on her blog.

The chair-box has its flaws, but my mother liked anyways, as the chair has been a small gift for her.
